Where does she come up with these things?
This morning when I went to get Ava up she said "you have boobies mommy". Well, you all know "heck yes I do"...don't really think these are the ones I plan on keeping either, bc gravity is not my firend. But, I just don't know where she comes up with these things. I told her that I did have boobies, and then she said "I have boobies too". WHAT??? Who has she been conversing with when I am not around? I know they are not discussing these things in the toddler class at school. This was the FIRST thing she said to me this morning. Anyway, it made me laugh, which she does countless times each day. What a little mess!

Long time, no blog
I know it's been awhile since I posted. (since so many are reading...ha!) It has been very busy. We sold our house and moved, so that has taken up much of our time. For those of you that don't know, we had sold our house and were buying another one, and then Chris' company announced they were selling. So...here we are in a rental waiting for what's next. I don't know what's next, but I know that God has a plan for us. It's seems that every time I feel like everything is falling apart at the seams, that God says "wait, you are my child and I will take care of you". He shows me his loving guidance. Thank goodness for his grace!
I hope to post pictures soon! I know I kept saying I would before, but I have to learn. I promise I will do that to keep it all interesting! Ava is doing good and just absolutely amazes us with all she knows. She has been quite the trooper with the move. She cried wanting to "go home" on Friday night, and then when she woke up and got her yogurt out of the fridge Sat. she said "my yogurt, my yogurt drink, my home". Who knew for a girl that doesn't even eat alot, that food would be the common factor to let her know that this was now home. We had to go out to the old house Monday to drop off our remaining keys and garage door openers, and she said "I not sad anymore". What a smart little lady. I just love her to pieces!
I hope everyone is doing well and will keep posting this time!

Happy Birthday Bird
Dear Ava,
Tomorrow you will turn two...boy, how time flies! It seems like yesterday they placed you in my arms and I fell hopelessly in love. You are the most wonderful gift I have ever been blessed with.
In two short years you have blossomed into such a sweet and funny little girl. Daddy and I are so proud of you! We are constantly amazed at all you are learning, and what a funny personality you have. You light up each day for me! I love it when you run to me and yell "mommyyyy" when I pick you up. I also love it when you turn to me and pucker your lips to give me a kiss, and then hug me so tight. You always know that daddy is home when you hear the garage go up, and you run to greet him. You make each day sweeter.
I hope you continue to be such a confident little girl. I hope you will always have such a zest for life. I love you with a love deeper than I ever knew existed.
I have to steal my prayer for you from a song, but it is so perfect.
Find your Wings by Mark Harris
I pray that God will fill your heart with dreams
And that faith gives you the courage to dare to do great things
I'm here for you whatever this life brings,
So let my love give you roots and help you find your wings.
It's not living if you don't reach for the sky
I'll have tears as you take off, but I'll cheer as you fly!
I love you sweet Ava Bird and thank God each day for blessing my life with your sweet presence! Happy Birthday! Mommy

Happy Mother's Day
Happy Mother's Day to all the lovely moms out there! In honor of my mom, I am listing the top ten things I love about my mom. (I could list lots more)
1. I love that my mom is so strong.
2. I love that my mom was the kind of mom growing up that didn't mind getting her hair wet when we went swimming.
3. I love that my mom is such a fantastic mama!
4. I love that she and my dad took me to church growing up, and taught me of the love of my Saviour.
5. I love that she was, and still is, my biggest cheerleader.
6. I love that she loved me through my teenage years. (I'm sorry I was such a pain in the arse)
7. I love that she was such a devoted daughter and daughter in law.
8. I love the thick, curly hair she passed on to me.
9. I love that she stands up for what she believes in and taught me to do the same.
10. I love that she still cooks mine and Chris' favorite meals when we come home.
11. I love that she gets up with Ava when we are home so we can sleep in! (I had to go over ten things for this one!)
I could really go on and on and on. My mom is the absolute best, and as the years go on I love her even more. Thank you mom for being you! I love you!
